Jean-François Rioux

An industrial engineer and business manager, Jean-François Rioux works in the information technology sector.  He grew up in a family of entrepreneurs, and started his first computer services business at the age of 17.  His journey would enable him to build solid business experience, notably in regards to technological solutions, business development, merger and acquisitions.

Since 2005, Jean-François is chief executive and chief technology officer at Alogient, a Montreal firm specializing in consulting services and developing online business and information systems.

He was formerly the president and founder of Logient (2000-2005), a Web software development company to which he added a graphics design department, after the acquisition of graphics company.  He also worked as a computer consultant and web software architect.  In the past few years, he was called upon to execute large-scale mandates for many leaders in the pharmaceutical industry such as Schering-Plough, and in the financial services industry with Meloche Monnex and ING Canada.

Jean-François is committed to organizations dedicated to entrepreneurial causes.  As such, he is a member of the consultative committee at the Centre d'entrepreneurship HEC-POLY-UdeM.  He also sits on the board of directors of la Fondation Jeux du Québec since March 2009.

Jean-François holds a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from l'École polytechnique de Montréal (Université de Montréal).
